As a designer and leader Sonja's passion and enthusiasm is very evident. Her combination of creativity and logical thinking benefits successful problem solving and finding solutions . She is able to assess the bigger picture and has a knack for understanding the detail with her creative thinking, whilst having fun along the way. She believes that good design stems from parameters and collaboration with likeminded people and a trust that clients have for her and her team to push the boundaries.

Sonja loves working at Hosking Design because the culture encourages "you to be who you are and pushes you to reach your full potential daily". She values the supportive, challenging and fun environment that exists in the office- and loves being able to bring her furry friend to the office too!

Senior Designer

Cat brings our team valuable experience across a number of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Education, and Aged Care. With her extensive experience in mulitidisciplinary firms, she has a distinctive design flair and a great eye for detail across materiality and finishing details.

Always up for a new challenge, Cat embraces new projects with a considered and well thought out approach. Adding another string to her bow she is an accomplished musician (violinist) and professional photographer, constantly keeping busy and stimulating her never-ending creativity!

An invaluable member of our studio; the ‘glue’. Sarah’s passion for beautiful design and user experience developed roots while working for a prominent hotel chain before completing her design education. Sarah brings her experience and calm and considered approach to the table, where her adaptability allows her to work across a variety of projects from commercial and retail through to residential.

Sarah believes that we, as designers, have an important role to play in looking after our environment through careful and thoughtful selection of materials and finishes. She loves the challenge of providing each of our clients with unique design solutions that reflect and fulfil their individual needs.

A broad love for all things design brought Shelby to study Interior Architecture, finishing with honours before diving head-first into the industry, gaining valuable knowledge of process and parameters whilst working for a fast-paced project builder. Perhaps stemming from being a hands-on person with a passion for the great outdoors, Shelby has a calm and curious perspective, drawing inspiration from the natural world in her design approach. Her energy for the ideation stage of a project as well as her skills in collaboration make Shelby a very welcome addition to the HID team

After many years working within the hospitality industry whilst freelancing as an Interior Designer, Maddie has joined the Hosking team. Along with her design experience spanning hospitality and residential sectors, she brings a confident understanding of materiality to the studio. Underpinning her approach to design is a firm commitment and passion to sustainability. Being a total foodie and community-minded person she is a valued member of the team here.

Senior Designer

Louise is a highly qualified Interior Designer with over 30 years of successful private practice experience in interior design offices and multidisciplinary firms in Australia and London. She brings with her a wealth of extensive experience in the Hotel and Hospitality sectors and also in Commercial, Aged Care and Residential.

Louise is a good listener, a problem solver and has a passion for the craft of creating functional and creative interiors while considering their environmental impact. Her considerable industry knowledge and communication skills make her a valuable asset to the team.

With an extensive education in the Architecture & design realm, garnered from China, Singapore and Australia, Jingjie’s diverse skills enable her to explore the connections between our natural world and the built environment. Being well-versed in a number of design software suites, Jingie’s design communication and technical support are invaluable to the studio. Jingjie’s cool and calm approach is very much appreciated in what can sometimes be a crazy environment!
